Hi, my name is Alexa and I've always had a passion for dogs.
I have three beautiful, bouncy Labradors - Alfie, Freddie and Bertie - who I absolutely adore although at times they can be a handful!
Training my own dogs gave me a real sense of joy and fullflment as well as making life easier. I quickly realised how much the dogs enjoyed their training but also how it strengthened the bond between us. It was this that motivated me to find out as much as I could about different techniques and approaches to dog training.
I began helping out at Rugby Dog Training Club (RDTC) and quickly fell in love with it. I got huge satisfaction watching the bond between dogs and their owners grow as they learnt new skills. I also learnt such a lot under the guidance of the many experienced trainers who worked there. I continue to volunteer at RDTC and am proud to be part of the committee and run regular obedience classes there.
At about the same time I began walking dogs for friends and neighbours and loved it so much that I gave up work and took it up full-time! What could be better than indulging my love of the outdoors with the companionship of some lovely 4-legged friends.
After completing training with Absolute Dogs and a range of courses through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) I am now offering my services not only as a dog walker but also as a coach and trainer.
Nothing is better than having a well-behaved dog to go on adventures with and my goal is to help you achieve that.
Absolute Dogs
I have completed training with Absolute Dogs - this is games based training and their emphasis is on 'training for the situation, not in the situation'.

IMDT’s training is based upon keeping everything positive for the dog and working out what you want the dog to do, not what you don't want them to do.
